Rod Abbott
Rod Abbott is an intermediate Mechanical Technologist with 8 years of engineering experience. Rod has been with Wardrop Engineering for 5 years and is the Mechanical CAD Lead for the Thunder Bay office. Since joining Wardrop, he has played a key role in implementing various 3D tools, including CADWorx and ISOGEN.
Steven Ashcroft
Steven is a CADWorx Technical Sales representative with Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc. He joined COADE in August of 2006 and is responsible for increasing CADWorx Sales in the US and abroad. Steven has studied both AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant Professional. He completed training courses in both programs at the Horn Drafting & CAD Center.
Richard Ay
Richard Ay graduated with a BS in Ocean Engineering in 1977 and moved to Houston to work for a large E&C firm. In 1983 while working for an Offshore Consulting firm, Rich earned an MS in Civil Engineering. In 1985, at the request of Tony Paulin, Rich joined COADE. Since then Rich has spent his time working on the development of CAESAR II, TANK, the ESL routines, QA and Technical Support procedures. Rich is now the Vice President of Software Development and oversees the development of COADE's Engineering products. Rich has his Professional Engineering license and is a member of ASCE.
William G. Beazley, PhD
William G. Beazley, PhD, PE, has over 30 years of experience on computer/web-based work practices, task analysis, automation and integration in the Petrochemical and Aerospace industries and teaching and curriculum development at the university level. He taught design at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He managed the first CAD operation at Brown and Root, Inc.’s Marine Division and help found the Computer-Aided Plant Design Users Group. He served on the IGES and PDES/STEP working groups for piping and plant design. He has served as Board Member and Executive Director of the Society of Piping Engineers and Designers, where he led their Professional Piping Designers Certification initiative. He has written and taught on many topics, including use of CAD and Electronic Commerce in process plant design, CAD system management, PPD Certification review and project management. Dr. Beazley is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Charles Becht PhD
Dr. Becht is President of Becht Engineering Co. Inc; President of Helidex, LLC; Director of Sonomatic Ltd. He received a PhD from Memorial University in Mechanical Engineering, a MS from Stanford University in Structural Engineering and BSCE from Union College, New York. Chuck is a licensed professional engineer in 16 states and provinces, an ASME Fellow since 1996, recipient of the ASME Dedicated Service Award in 2001, and has more than 60 publications including the book, Process Piping: The Complete Guide to ASME B31.3, and five patents. Dr. Becht is Chair of the ASME B31.3, Process Piping Committee; Chair (founding) of the Post Construction Subcommittee on Repair and Testing (PCC), and member of other ASME Committees including the Post Construction Standards Committee (past Chair); Post Construction Executive Committee (past Chair); B&PV Code Subcommittee on Transport Tanks; B&PV Code Subgroup on Elevated Temperature Design (past Chair); B31 Code for Pressure Piping Standards Committee; and B31 Mechanical Design Committee. He is a member of ASTM Committee F-17, Plastic Piping Systems Main Committee; and the ASME PVP Division, Design and Analysis Committee.
Matt Breeden
Matt Breeden graduated from Fort Hays State in 2004 and has quickly developed himself into a piping designer. He currently works with MKEC Engineering Consultants in Wichita, KS. Matt's CADWorx training (Plant Pro, Equipment, CDR, P&ID Pro, ISOGEN) has been informal and self-taught, but has gone on to teach new and experienced users about the software. Last year, he taught "Creating Specifications and Data Files" at the user conference and is looking forward this year to helping all users with their questions.
John Brinlee
John Brinlee is Sales Manager, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc. A piping and structural designer using third-party applications since AutoCAD Release 10, his real-world experience in plant design is apparent during the hundreds of technical product presentations and training sessions he's performed around the world over the past 18 years. John has collaborated on numerous training manuals over the years, including the Pro-Series, AutoPLANT, and CADWorx. He was also the principal author of the Plant Design White Paper, a comparison of CADWorx 2002 and AutoPLANT 2.01, published in 2002.
Mark Bross
Mark has over 37 years in the petrochemical business starting in 1971. He is currently the Drafting manager for Anadarko Petroleum Inc. and has specialized in plant layout, piping design and has been involved with the Autocad community since 1985. He was employed with Adev (Propipe) in the early 1990s and has consulted on other piping design software until switching over to the CadWorx plant design suite in the late 1990s.
Ray Delaforce
After leaving school, Ray was indentured as an apprentice working for British Oxygen Company in North London (UK). He was released one day a week (and attended evening classes) where He pursued an engineering diploma, obtaining an HNC in mechanical engineering. He then worked for the Ford Motor Company as a draughtsman in the truck division in Dagenham England. In 1965 He immigrated to South Africa where He worked for a pressure vessel inspection and certification company. He was originally employed as an inspector, but they later also employed him as a vessel engineer. In 1976, along with partners he formed another vessel inspection company (Avco Inspection CC). After a number of years, He ended up owning the business. He was by then the chief engineer and QA manager. In the year 2000 He came to America. He secured employment as a vessel engineer with two companies; Freeport Welding and Fabricating Inc., and RC Technical in Stafford Texas. In 2003, He gained employment with COADE Inc., to provide technical support in the PV Elite department. His duties include training in the use of our software both in the United States and abroad. He feels fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time in his life. He considered himself very privileged to have met and had association with wonderful people all his life.
Sonia Delgadillo
Sonia Delgadillo is a Senior Applications Specialist for Plant Design Solutions at COADE. She joined COADE January of 2009 and is responsible for technical product demonstrations, training on CADWorx Plant Professional, CADWorx P&ID Professional, CADWorx fieldPipe and support to COADE's existing dealer channel and clients. She has five years experience teaching designers, engineers, owner operators and EPC firms.
David Diehl
David Diehl stepped right into pipe stress analysis after graduating with a BSME from Lehigh University in 1976. That year, Dave took a job as a Dynaflex technical support representative for Auton Computing in New York City. He moved to Houston, Texas four years later and remained there in piping system analysis ever since. In 1986, Dave moved from mainframe software to PC-based pipe stress analysis by talking a job at COADE, Inc. introducing and selling CAESAR II. Dave earned his Professional Engineering license at COADE and now manages training for the company, serving as the lead instructor in static and dynamic analysis of piping systems using CAESAR II. For the past ten years Dave has participated in the B31.3 Section Committee and currently chairs the Design Task Group there. He also serves as a Director of SPED - the Society of Piping Engineers and Designers.
Joseph Dixon
Joseph Dixon is Product Manager, Plant Design Solutions for COADE, Inc which he joined in January 2007. He has been a piping designer and manager in the petrochemical industry since 1985. Joseph has worked with CADWorx as a designer and manager since 1998 and was instrumental in his company's roll out of 100+ seats of CADWorx Plant and CADWorx P&ID. His present responsibilities as Product Manager involve working with users, dealers, and the engineering group to enhance CADWorx to meet the market's needs.
Dan Edgar
As Principal Engineer of Piping Solutions, Mr. Edgar is responsible for the organization, administration, and performance of all engineering service contracts. Mr. Edgar has been performing piping layout, expansion joint selection and design, outage planning and inspection, specification development and failure investigations for Pathway since 1979. His extensive experience in the inspection, analysis, design, installation and maintenance of process piping/ducting systems has lead him to be recognized as a leading authority, especially when dealing with rotating equipment. Mr. Edgar has worked for most of the major refiners in the world. Mr. Edgar was the co-developer of the Caesar II pipe analysis expansion joint modeling system and is a frequent instructor at the Caesar II training seminars. He also developed Pathway's engineering computer programs and computer aided design and drafting (CADD) system, served as product standardization engineer, senior sales engineer and design engineer. Prior to joining Pathway, Mr. Edgar was a Structural Engineer on the ASTF Wind Tunnel construction project where he coordinated fabrication and erection of the large diameter (3' to 35') ASME ducting. Prior to this, he was a structural design engineer for the American Bridge Division of U. S. Steel. He also performed structural inspection and turnaround engineering at U. S. Steel facilities. Mr. Edgar was Manager of Engineering for RM Engineered Products from 1990 to 1995. Mr. Edgar is a member of ASME, a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California, an ASME Author on expansion joint applications and analysis and a frequent lecturer on piping/ducting design and maintenance.
David Edwards
David has been an AutoCAD user since 1987 and a CadWORX Pipe user since 2004. He presently serves as a Mechanical Designer in the Elkridge, MD office of Alliance Engineering, Inc. Alliance Engineering, Inc. has (3) offices in the Mid-Atlantic area that focus on the Industrial & Commercial Manufacturing sector. During the past 30 years David has worn many "hats" including drafter, designer, CAD manager and consultant. He has been an active member of ASME since 2003.
Chris Hinnant
Chris Hinnant is a consulting engineer and software developer for Paulin Research Group (PRG) of Houston, TX. At PRG, his primary focus is finite element analysis (FEA) of PVP equipment and development of related FEA software tools. He has taught FEA seminars with a focus on ASME code compliance and fatigue design around the world. His work at PRG has included numerous fatigue and burst tests of piping components and pressure vessels. He is active in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and is a member of the Subgroup on Fatigue Strength, Subgroup on Design Section VIII, and Subgroup on Design Analysis.
Jack Hollenbeck
Jack Hollenbeck is the Engineering Technology Technician at Exterran, the global market leader in full service natural gas compression. With more than 20 years of drafting and design experience using AutoCAD, CADWorx and Isogen, Jack provides technical support and is the software trainer to all domestic and international design teams. A recognized expert using Isogen to its optimum potential, Jack stays on the cutting edge of technology using I-Configure, the latest Isogen interface software. Jack holds a degree in drafting technology from the University of the State of Oklahoma.
Stephen A Hollinger
Stephen A Hollinger is a senior mechanical/piping designer and CAD manager for R & D Consulting, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA. Stephen has over 18 years experience in the petrochemical industry and for the last 6 years has been implementing, developing and training staff to use Cadworx Plant Professional Suite. Earned a B.A. from St. Andrews in 1992.
Nimal Surendra Jayaratne
Nimal Surendra Jayaratne graduated with B Sc (Hons) from University of Sri Lanka, Peradeniya in 1975 and obtained his MBA(Tech Mgt) from Deakin University, Melbourne in 2001. He has 30 years of professional experience in Oil & Gas (onshore and offshore), Petrochemical, Power and Mining industries in plant engineering and design. At present Nimal provides leadership to Hatch's Piping Practice in the West Australian region and is responsible for the development of the practice in line with company's global objectives. This includes aligning CAD, material management and progress measurement systems to facilitate inter-hub work-sharing, enhancing workflow processes and quality awareness in engineering activities. He also provides leadership in recruitment and professional development of graduate, junior and senior engineers. Instrumental in forming the Piping Engineering Specialist Group where the engineers are challenged with innovative design approaches. Ensuring discipline resource requirements for projects, assisting in workload planning and identifying new business opportunities and communication with other international hubs as required for resource optimisation and alignment are within Nimal's responsibilities. Nimal has successfully completed the Lead Piping and Pipe Stress Engineer's role in major offshore (LNG and Condensate) platforms, through the entire project life cycle where many novel engineering methodologies were employed to meet the challenges of modern offshore platform engineering. He is a corporate member of ASME, IMechE, IE(Aust) and IE(SL).
Michael W. Johnson
Michael W. Johnson is a Mechanical Engineer in the Engineering & Technical Services Department of Reliant Energy, Houston, Texas. Mr. Johnson is responsible for Inspection, Design and Maintenance of Critical Piping Supports, Pipe Stress Analysis, Technical Support for Pumping Issues and miscellaneous Balance of Plant equipment. Mr. Johnson graduated from the University of North Dakota (1980), is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, is a member of Pump Advisory Committee for Texas A&M Turbomachinery Laboratory, and serves on the Design Sub-group for ASME B31.1 Power Piping.
Mike Jukic
Mike Jukic is a piping designer with AMEC BDR Limited. He Graduated in 2002 with a certificate in Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist (EDDT) from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). He has been using CADWorx exclusively for the past 7 years designing anything from 3D piping layouts for small skids to large facility designs. With this experience, Mike has learned various ways to stream line his CADWorx for day to day drafting applications. In addition to working in the Oil & Gas industry, Mike also teaches AutoCAD in the evenings at SAIT.
Al Kaye
Al Kaye has over 29 years of experience in reliability, integrity, fabrication, construction, design, management, inspection and research. He has a strong technical background with a wide array of unique complementary skills. Innovative in analyzing and solving stress, FEA , equipment design and analysis, integrity assessment, remaining life, reliability, failure analysis and maintenance with comprehensive skills and qualifications in materials, welding, fabrication, inspection & construction. Al's career has encompassed Pipelines, Pressure, Fired and Rotating Equipment, Machinery, Structures, High Temperature, Cryogenics/Cold and Heat Exchangers with practical & special applications in Chemical , Oilsands, Oil & Gas, Agri-Pharm , Machinery, Pulp and Paper and Offshore industries.
Naveed Khan
Naveed Khan is a qualified Mechanical Engineer. He started his working career as a Production Engineer and served four years in the manufacturing industry. He joined Fern in March 2007 as an Applications Engineer and is responsible for providing technical support and training on COADE's CAE products for customers in the UK, Scandinavia and Western Europe. He also has Pipe Stress Analysis consulting experience.
Steve Lozano
Steve Lozano is a Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA A+ Certified I.T. Technician, and an AutoCAD 2009 Certified Professional. Steve's current position is IT Manger/CAD Manager at Nicholas Consulting Group, Inc. Steve has over 27 years experience as a senior piping designer with 12 years experience using CADWorx Suite of products. Steve's has been a Lead Project Designer with the responsibility for drafting/design group training and support. Past experience with Adev Pro Series, Rebis, Intergraph and other Piping CAD systems prior to CADWorx. Systems Administrator with 10 years experience of implementing and integration, SQL Server 2005, Exchange Server, and IIS Server. Proficient with 3D Studio Max, VLISP, and Visual Basic.
John Luf
John Luf is a member of the B31.3 section and design task group. He has over 35 years of experience in design, analysis and supporting process and power piping systems. He has also published numerous articles on analysis which can be found on the COADE web site.
Ramsey Mahadeen
Ramsey Mahadeen has over 40 years of experience working in the shell-and-tube heat exchanger industry primarily with engineering, troubleshooting, mechanical design, and the integration of various domestic and international quality systems and codes. Besides experience in the chemical, petrochemical, power and pharmaceutical industries, he has been involved with the refinery and the pulp and paper industries, designing heat exchangers for most major companies. This experience includes the design of over 10,000 heat exchangers for domestic and international use, many of which are safety related Nuclear Class 1 & 2. His expertise includes the thermal and mechanical design for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, software development, contract negotiations, and project management. He now concentrates on the mechanical design and its integration with various domestic and international quality systems and codes, such as ASME, NBIC, ISO-9000 and the PED; and, industry design standards, such as TEMA, HEI, API and HTRI. Mr. Mahadeen is Manager of Engineering at Atlas Industrial Manufacturing, a company specializing in heat exchangers and equipment. He has been a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for 29 years, has been a volunteer member of the ASME Subgroup on Heat Transfer Equipment (SGHTE) since 1989, is currently the chairman of the SGHTE, and is a member of the ASME BPV VIII Committee on Pressure Vessels. SGHTE is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining the ASME Code rules for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, tubesheets, expansion joints, tube joints, and other related rules.
Nigel Marsh
Nigel Marsh is a Piping Engineer with 20 years experience working predominantly in Offshore Oil and Gas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Canterbury NZ. He has spent the majority of his career working for engineering consultancies on large design projects in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Nigel has had extensive experience using Caesar software throughout his career. Nigel recently returned to New Zealand, and is currently working in a technical capacity as an independent consultant working remotely for clients worldwide, within the Oil and Gas Industry.
Scott Mayeux
Scott Mayeux is a Mechanical Engineer with 20 years of experience in the Engineering and Software Development Field. His area of expertise is in integration of ASME and other Codes and Standards into the PV Elite software. Over the years Scott also garnered experience in Pipe Stress analysis as well as knowledge in other standards such as WRC, TEMA, API and many others. At COADE, Scott is the Director of Development for Pressure Vessel and Exchanger Solutions. For the last ten years he has also served as an ASME Code Committee member on the Sub Group Heat Transfer Equipment (SGHTE).
John McWilliams
John McWilliams has been working in the plant design field for over sixteen years and has been using 3D software for over ten years. John has been employed by software companies as a specialty consultant and product trainer. He has used and administered AutoCAD, Microstation, Autoplant, CADWorx, and PDMS, and has been involved in various project types including onshore refineries and chemical plants, offshore oil and gas platforms, and ethanol plants. John is currently a Global 3D Cadd Administrator at Mustang Engineering.
Gary Mellinger
Gary Mellinger has been training plant design professionals in the use of application software for over fifteen years. He spent five years on staff as a corporate trainer and manager of hands-on support for Applications Development (ADev) of New Orleans, Louisiana and Rebis Industrial Workgroup Software of Walnut Creek, California. In 1995, Gary launched Mellinger & Associates, an independent consulting firm providing software sales, training, integration, and customization services to a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, petrochemical, and building trades. Gary has over thirty years of experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, and piping design.
Brian Michaud
Brian Michaud is a Piping Designer with Hunt, Guillot & Associates LLC. He has been with the company since 1999. Brian has been using CADWorx Plant Professional since 2001 and CADWorx fieldPipe since 2007. He is also responsible for training new hires on CADWorx fieldPipe. Brian is also the in-house tech support contact for AutoCAD and CADWorx questions.
William Miller
William A. Miller is a Senior Engineer with BIS Frucon Engineering, Inc. of Ballwin, MO. He has over 36 years of experience in the design of chemical, power, and plant utility piping systems, and the layout of process and utility equipment. Mr. Miller is a Registered Professional Engineer in Missouri and has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla.
Urey R Miller
Urey R Miller is an ASME Fellow and has more than 40 years of experience in the pressure vessel industry. He has participated in ASME Pressure Vessel Code Committee activity for more than 30 years. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and Texas. He is currently a member of the following ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Committees: Boiler and Pressure Vessel Technical Oversight Committee, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Committee - Section VIII (Vice Chairman), Subgroup Design - Section VIII (Chairman), Special Working Group for Heat Transfer Equipment - SC VIII (past Chairman), Special Committee on Interpretations - Section VIII (Chairman). Mr. Miller is currently a consulting engineer and is the President of URM Consulting, PLLC. He was the Chief Engineer for CB&I from 2007 through 2009 and was the Chief Engineer with the Kellogg Brown & Root Company (KBR) from 1992 to 2007; both are major international engineering and construction companies for the petrochemical industry. In these positions, he consulted on a wide array of subjects including pressure vessel, heat exchanger, and piping design issues, including application and interpretation of all ASME Code requirements. He has had extensive experience with international projects. He has provided significant engineering support and advice to projects throughout the world. In the role as Chief Engineer, he has traveled extensively providing engineering support for projects in Brazil, Malaysia, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Philippine Islands, South Africa, United Kingdom, Mexico, etc. in addition to a variety of projects in the United States. He has experience in refinery, petrochemical, liquefied natural gas, ammonia, phenol, and other types of projects. Previously, he held responsible positions related to process pressure equipment at Union Carbide Corporation and Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation. In addition, he has had over eight years experience in designing pressure vessels for nuclear power generation applications with the Babcock and Wilcox Co. Mr. Miller has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (cum laud) from the University of Evansville (Indiana).
Carol Orgar
Carol Orgar is a Mechanical Technologist with an Ontario Skills Apprenticeship Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting. With over 20 years experience using various 2D & 3D Cad programs and in the Water Treatment Field, she has been a Senior Mechanical Designer with Ecodyne Water in Burlington, Ontario since 1996. She is involved in the preparation of plot plans, piping layouts, spool details, skid frame and support drawings, bills of materials, purchase requisitions as well as assembly shop and field support. She played a key role in the transition from Medusa and the implementation of Autocad and CADWorx Plant and is actively involved in ongoing training and support of drafting personnel. She has completed training in Caesar II and is currently working on learning ISOGEN.
Bruce Parsons
Bruce Parsons is the Vice President of Information Systems and Drafting Services at Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE). Bruce has guided the drafting department at GLE from its infancy in 1989 into one of the most advanced teams in Alberta. He built the department's capabilities by recruiting highly skilled and talented draftspeople and supplemented their backgrounds with current technology and design training. GLE successfully implemented CADWorx Plant Professional in 2004 and has been active worldwide in completing numerous projects involving wellsites, oil facilities, acid gas injection, gas facilities, cryogenics and liquid recovery.
Arvind Patil
Arvind Patil is a technical officer for the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay India. He holds a masters degree in Chemical Engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers in India. His experience spans 26 years performing project monitoring, project planning, and project management. He has also been involved in teaching piping engineering certification courses using CAESAR II, Auto Plant, Cadpipe, CAEpipe, and PDMS.
Anthony Paulin
Tony Paulin, President, Paulin Research Group author of the FE/Pipe finite element analysis program and the original author and architect of the CAESAR II ® pipe stress analysis program. Tony is a Member of B31 Mechanical Design Code Committee and established PRG to apply the latest FEA and fluid analysis technology to the piping and pressure industries. Tony has directed Paulin Research Group to conduct numerous leak and fatigue tests since 2001. The results are incorporated into Paulin Research Group software to make plant components more dependable and increase plant safety. Paulin Research Group's goals are to provide updates to an industry that relies on technology that is often more than 25 - 75 years old.
Kyle Pope
Kyle has worked for ECAD, Inc since 1999 doing sales, training, and tech support on the COADE product lines at their Tulsa, OK location. Kyle became involved in the Process and Power Industry in 1994 when he went to work for the Sinclair Oil Company in Tulsa, OK doing everything from recovery well monitoring to project management. From there, he moved on to Pro-Quip and ultimately ECAD, Inc. He's been involved in numerous client roll-outs and training sessions all over the US to help educate users and clients on the benefits of CADWorx.
William Rasco
Billy" has 15 years of experience in software implementation and as an instructor/piping designer of oil, gas and chemical systems. He spent 14 years with ECAD Inc in Texas helping many companies define software standards through project consultation and new technology implementations. Prior to ECAD, he worked for CEL/ECAD in Dallas, Texas, as an instructor/piping designer using ADEV, Rebis and AutoCAD products and also was involved in developing "best work practices" to help the company reach its engineering and design team goals. For the past year as Dealer Channel Sales/Operations Manager at COADE his duties include managing the company's global dealer channel which currently includes 11 COADE Global Network Partners and 60 resellers covering 58 countries and six continents.
Rhett Rathbone
Mr. Rathbone brings over a decade of experience specific to the engineering, design and fabrication of modular skid-based mid-stream and up-stream processing equipment. His expertise is in using CADWorx for the standardization of plant development for large gas treating plants, prime mover packages, and produced water handling equipment. His designs include customized high-spec, high-speed reciprocating compressor packages for chemical plant installations with full automation capability to "one-size-fits-all" packages designed for fleet compression replacement for major operations companies. Currently, working for Merpro Americas he specializes in developing equipment that will remove entrained sand from produced water while maintaining on-stream production. In his personal time he enjoys spending time with his family and their cantankerous basset hounds.
Robert Riley
Robert Riley is a Technical Support and Training Specialist for Golden Gate CAD, the authorized COADE Dealer in the Western Region of the United States. He has over 20 years of experience in Petro-Chem/ Industrial Design. He provided Training and Technical Support for COADE/CADWorx Plant Design Solutions through ECAD, (CGNP-USA) for the last few years. He is considered to be an expert with CADWorx Products and the interfaces with CAESAR II. His background includes working for and with Consulting Engineering Firms and Owner Operators. He spent over a decade training designers and understands the importance of excellent Training and Technical Support. Last year Robert trained users in ISOGEN at the 2008 COADE User Conference. Bob Robleto
Bob has a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University and a Master of Science in engineering from Old Dominion University. He is currently active with the ASME in the Mechanical Design Committee for Piping Books in B31. He is on the Design and Analysis Committee for the Vessel Division of ASME. Bob has written numerous papers published in the ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Conference Proceedings in the analytical field of piping engineering and fluid piping dynamics. He has written pipe stress philosophies for two FPSO's and has worked on several off shore structures. Bob has taught Caesar II advanced training classes at KBR in dynamics, statics and structural modeling. Bob is married to Elizabeth and they have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
Josh Sampson
Josh began his career at MKEC (Mid Kansas Engineering Consultants) in 2000 and started in the Petro-Chemical Department in 2002. Josh worked 2 years with ICM and was involved with the customization of CADWorx and Isogen for his company. Josh now works for Mustang Engineering in Houston, Texas in the Process Plants group. Josh completed the Process Plant Layout & Piping Design course offered from the University of Houston's SPED program. Josh received his training in CADWorx from Mellinger and Associates. Josh Sampson completed his Technical Drawing and Computer Aided Drafting from Hutchinson Community College. Josh taught at the 2008 CUC.
Luis Sanjuan
Luis Sanjuan serves in COADE's Technical Support department. Luis joined COADE in August of 2008 and is responsible for the software development and technical support for PV Elite. Luis graduated from the University of Texas Pan American and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Chris Schiller
Chris is a Technical Sales Representative with Plant Engineering Solutions for COADE, Inc. He has worked for COADE since 2001 and is responsible for increasing CAESAR II, PV Elite, and PV Fabricator sales in the U.S. and abroad. This experience has made him very knowledgeable about the Engineering Analysis products implementation and their best practices. This gives him the proper background to provide technical presentations and training sessions dealing with the full suite of Engineering Analysis products.
Donna Schrader
Donna Schrader has an AAS from Ferris State University. She is a senior structural designer and has been in the engineering industry for nearly 30 years. Donna's experience stems not only from her board drafting days, she also has extensive experience creating drawings using both AutoCAD and Microstation and creating/managing models using both CADWorx and PDS. Donna is currently employed with Mustang Engineering, Houston, Texas, as a key figure for the Civil/Structural design group with the Process Plants Group. Her efforts have been instrumental in the successful implementation of CADWorx. She is the global CADWorx Steel Pro Plus Administrator for all Mustang Engineering Offices.
Mandeep Singh
Mandeep Singh has worked for COADE since 1989 as Senior Engineer in Pressure Vessel and Heat exchanger solutions department. He does development on PV Elite and CodeCalc software, provides technical support, teaches in the vessel seminars and provides product presentation. In his spare time, he uses PV Elite and CodeCalc on real-world design projects. He has been actively involved in Discovery tours, show casing the benefits of PV Elite to clients worldwide. He is a regular poster at the vessel and exchanger discussion forum at www.coade.com. Mr. Singh holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University. He brings together technical expertise of the pressure vessel industry and in-depth knowledge of PV Elite and CodeCalc.
Lee Smith
Lee Smith is a lead project designer for the John Zink Company. Lee's responsibilities include coordinating teams for designing skid mounted vapor recovery units for both domestic and foreign clients and assisting in project management roles. A graduate of Oklahoma State University Tech, Lee has 30 plus years experience in the gas processing and transmission, oil refining, and chemical plant industries. Lee has gone from the drafting board to 3D CAD design, and from field construction to the corporate office, working with many of the leading companies of the industry. Lee has been married for 32 years and has two daughters and nine grandchildren.
Billy Therrell
Billy Therrell has been in the Plant Design Field for over 13 years and was previously a pipe fitter with over 10 years experience. Billy is currently employed by MKEC Engineering Consultants, Wichita Kansas as lead project designer and has been with MKEC sense 1996. Billy is manager of MKEC's industrial design group and has been using CADWorx Plant Professional sense 2000. He completed the Process Plant Layout & Piping Design course offered by the University of Houston's SPED program and also attended and completed the first ISOGEN Training course offered by COADE in 2006.
Tom Van Laan, PE
Thomas Van Laan is the president of COADE, Inc. With COADE since 1989, he has been extensively involved in the development of products such as CAESAR II, the world's leading pipe stress program, and CADWorx, COADE's suite of AutoCAD-based plant and piping design software. With 27 years of engineering and software experience, Mr. Van Laan is considered to be an expert in the fields of pipe stress analysis and design, having taught over 75 training courses worldwide and having co-authored the engineering text Piping and Pipe Support Systems: Design and Engineering. Mr. Van Laan holds degrees in civil engineering, computer science and business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York Institute of Technology and Pace University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states.
Trey Walters
Trey Walters is the founder of Applied Flow Technology Corporation (AFT) in Woodland Park, Colorado, and currently is the President and Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for commercial software development of new and existing pipe system modeling products. His development work at AFT has been in the areas of incompressible and compressible pipe flow, water hammer and pump system optimization. He is also involved in thermal/fluid system consulting and customer training. Mr. Walters founded AFT in 1993. Previously he was a Research Engineer for Babcock & Wilcox in Alliance, Ohio in steam/water system design, and a Senior Engineer with General Dynamics in San Diego, California in cryogenic rocket design. He has 20 years of experience in thermal/fluid system engineering, and has published eleven papers. Mr. Walters holds a BSME (1985) and MSME (1986), both from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a Registered Engineer in California.
Mark White
Mark White has been in the plant design field for over 30 years, and has been a 3D modeler for nearly 26 years using several CAD/CADD systems. He is currently a design coordinator and CADWorx administrator with piping being his forte. Mark has been involved in several oil and gas type projects ranging from onshore refineries and compressor stations to offshore drilling and production platforms.
Jim Wilcox, P.Eng.
Mechanical Engineer, graduated University of Calgary, 2004. Starting with COADE in 1989 as an employee, Jim is now the president of CodeCAD Inc., the Canadian COADE Global Network Partner, based in Calgary, Canada. Jim has instructed COADE's CAESAR II seminars for the last 19 years, primarily in Canada.
David Wolfe
David Wolfe is a Process and Power Specialist at ECAD Inc. in Tulsa, OK. David has extensive experience in CADWorx P&ID, CADWorx IP, CADWorx Equipment, CADWorx Plant and Navisworks.
