Drivers of Success Competition
We are pleased to announce the first place prize winners of the COADE User Conference 2009 'Drivers of Success' Competition. These companies were judged to have exhibited impressive results in the use of COADE plant design and engineering tools; CADWorx; CAESAR II; and PV Elite. As their prize COADE has awarded these winning entrants with paid conference fees for one representative, plus paid hotel accommodation and travel to and from their home cities/countries.

CADWorx Plant Professional helps Fichtner Consulting solve project challenges
In the design of a 300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP), Fichtner Consulting demonstrated how a very complex, yet compact, layout could be developed with the assistance of CADWorx Plant Professional, CADWorx Design Review and CAESAR II. The company also proved the value of an accurate 3D model in producing project deliverables and transfering design knowledge and data to the field.
"CADWorx Plant 3D model enabled us to forecast potential design or construction problems during modeling phase. CADWorx Design Review helped our clients and contractors not only visualize and understand the plant model but also suggest the design changes needed well in advance. This has removed a lot of ambiguity from our plant design efforts and helped us to avoid rework."
Amiantit Fiberglass Industries Ltd - Dammam City, Saudi Arabia
CAESAR II helps Amiantit produce accurate FRP analysis for large piping system.
Amiantit Fiberglass is the largest manufacturer and supplier of fiberglass (FRP) pipe and fittings in Saudi Arabia. The company also produces piping designs based on its components. The featured project at the Yanbu National Petrochemical Company petrochemical complex in Yanbu city was for a sea water cooling system that included 65,000 ft of piping, and fittings, ranging from 4 in to 13 ft in diameter.

Ward Tank & Heat Exchanger Corporation - Charlotte, NC, USA
PV Elite helps Ward Tank improve the company's design processes.
Ward Tank and Heat Exchanger Corporation manufacturers pressure vessels and heat exchangers for the chemical, refining, water treatment and pharmaceutical industries. The company was awarded a project valued at $4.4M that consisted of two large Alloy 400 reactors with complex internals. The reactors measured 71 ft. long and 16 ft in diameter.
